Valheim: Coal, how do I get it?

Coal is one of the essential resources of Valheim, since it allows you, in particular, to melt metals. If you don't know how to get it, we explain everything to you. This is the case of coal, which must be made to melt the various metals necessary for evolution, be it copper, silver or iron to name a few. Get coal in Valheim

Indeed, you will very quickly need a lot of coal in Valheim, especially if you play with several people. For this, you will have to organize yourself, but above all, build the charcoal kiln as soon as you can, since this one isn't very hard to make. You are going to need:

• 5 Hearts of Surtling
• 20 stones

It will then be necessary to place wood in this coal oven, the maximum capacity being 25 and it takes about fifteen seconds to produce a unit of coal (one wood = one coal). To avoid wasting time, we advise you to constantly place wood there, or at least very often and not wait until you need coal, to create a small reserve.

What's more, we also advise you tohave as many or even more coal kilns than foundries, since the latter consume the coal faster than it is produced. For example, if you have two foundries in your base, it is advisable to be equipped with at least two coal furnaces.

There are two other ways to get coal, but much less profitable. The first is to burn meat, which is clearly not the best option, while the second focuses on exploration, for example by eliminating the Surtling that we find in the swamps, or even by searching chests .
