Valheim: Eikthyr, how do you defeat the first boss?

The first boss of Valheim, Eikthyr, will allow you to progress well in the rest of your adventures. We tell you how to best prepare for battle. Since we are dealing with first boss of the game, this will not be the toughest confrontation you will face during your journey. However, a few tips never hurt, especially if you're new to the genre. If it can easily be done solo, do not hesitate to form a group, in order to facilitate your task.

To overcomeEikthyr, you will have to prepare well for this fight, at the risk of suffering a terrible setback. Make yourself a bow and a sufficient supply of arrows first, and also take a melee weapon, although melee combat is not recommended here. Also take some food with you (fruits and cooked meat) to regenerate your health if you take too much damage.


Regarding the boss himself, he can give you a big headbutt with his antlers, a discharge in front of him (with an animation time to try to dodge it) and, finally, his most dangerous attack, a charge zone electrical. The latter can also be dodged as soon as you see that it marks a timeout.

By playing with the movements of this deer while shooting arrows at it, it will only take you a few minutes to bring it down. Once defeated, you will then be able to make the pickaxe, since it will give you the famous plan.
