Valheim: How to get bronze?

In Valheim, bronze is an essential resource, which is not necessarily easy to obtain. We guide you step by step to forge this precious alloy, which will be of great help to you. When you arrive on the lands of Valheim you will have, during your first hours of play, to content yourself with weapons and equipment made of wood, even stone. However, you will be able to equip yourself with higher quality weapons and tools once you have discovered how to make bronze. This is not necessarily obvious, since it asks you to have passed a few steps.

How to get bronze in Valheim?

First of all, know that you must be equipped with the pickaxe to be able to make bronze. If this is not your case, we tell you how to get it here. If you have one, equip yourself with it and go in search of the two essential elements to make bronze : copper and tin.

To find tin, it's quite simple. Head first to the bodies of water, since we find quite a few nearby, sometimes even in the water. For copper, it will be a bit tougher business. It will be necessary to go to the black forest (materialized by a darker forest on the map), recognizable by its fir trees. There you will find mounds with glowing streaks. It's copper. Be sure to make room in your pockets before going in search of copper, since the resource is quite heavy.

When you have collected copper and tin, you will be able to return to your camp and go to the smelter (it takes coal to make it work) and place your precious ores in order to melt them. Then, you have to take the direction of the forge (the plan is normally obtained after the first use of the foundry) and you will be able to finally get bronze. You will need 2 copper plates and one tin.

In short, if we had to summarize, here are the steps to follow:

• Have copper (obtainable in black forests).
• Have tin (close to water sources).
• Go to the smelter to smelt the ores.
• Go to the forge to make the bronze
  • It is necessary to have at least two copper plates and one of tin.
