Expected tomorrow and already available for preloading, Deathloop will host many features on the PC version, as well as support for the Dualense.

In addition to benefiting in particular from the haptic feedback of the PS5 controller, Arkane Lyon's FPS will support HDR, ray tracing, AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution and NVIDIA Reflex on PC. However, cross-play between the two platforms will not be supported, at least at launch.

Light on the Loop

A few days ago, Bethesda told us more about the PC requirements and preload times for the two platforms of Arkane Lyon's highly anticipated Deathloop. Being generous on the different parameters that the PC version will offer, the publisher was however discreet on other points.

A pitfall that was quickly overcome, since the first tests of the game, especially in our columns, are out. The PC version was thus able to be dissected as meticulously as Colt plans his assassinations in this infernal time loop.

Thus, Deathloop will notably support, for the first time in an Arkane game, HDR for compatible screens. Ray tracing options on shadows and ambient occlusion will also be included, provided of course that you have a graphics card offering this functionality.

Coupled with required PC configurations which promise to be rather greedy to aim for high details in high resolution, such options should offer a great visual experience, for those with the appropriate machine.

Improved gameplay loop

If Deathloop is loaded with features for a successful visual experience on PC, the gameplay part is not left out either. Those who favor the game with the controller will also be able to take advantage of the DualSense. Something to add a nice dose of immersion thanks in particular to the haptic feedback of the now famous PS5 controller. If it is also supported on PC, it will unfortunately not be possible at launch to play in cross-play

As a reminder, Deathloop indeed includes an original one-on-one multiplayer component. Support for NVIDIA Reflex on the PC version will make the experience all the more interesting. Enough to eliminate the input lag so that Colt and Julianna, embodied by players, can eliminate each other without imbalance. Provided, of course, that you have a compatible graphics card, again.

What's more, this could eventually mean that Deathloop will host DLSS, NVIDIA's artificial intelligence-powered super-sampling technology. For its part, AMD already counts Arkane's game among the followers of its in-house technology, the FidelityFX Super Resolution, from the launch.

You are now in the loop to throw yourself headlong into Deathloop tomorrow on PC from 02:01 am, or on PS5 from midnight.
