Deathloop demonstrates the capabilities of the DualSense controller

Expected in two short weeks, Deathloop enters its last phase of communication. Temporarily exclusive, on console, at the PlayStation 5, Arkane Lyon is now taking the time to specify how the DualSense controller will be used in its FPS.

Elements on which we had already returned in our preview published last week, but which here have the merit of being illustrated in image.

A DualSense put to good use

Anyone who's ever held a PS5 controller knows how much it helps with gaming immersion. From Astro's Playroom to Returnal to Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, PlayStation exclusives are currently the titles that are doing the best in this area. But Deathloop calmly steps forward to upstage them.

Arkane left nothing to chance. Each weapon in the game offers different sensations thanks to the adaptive triggers. Machine guns, for example, have a shorter trigger than a shotgun, and accidental jamming of a weapon will completely block the fire button.

All this is accompanied of course by very precise and omnipresent vibrations, and an ingenious use of the loudspeaker of the controller to further add to the feedback of the clashes. Problem: these many features will tend to melt your controller's battery faster than a lump of butter in the sun.

Deathloop will be released on September 14 on PlayStation 5 and PC. It will be available on "other consoles" from September 14, 2022.
