Five more months of work

While we already had a tendency to compare Endless Legend to Civilization VI, the studio set out to develop a title even more capable of competing with Sid Meier and Fixaris with Humankind.

The project is ambitious, because in addition to offering players the opportunity to lead a people from the first cities to modern times, Humankind must allow their civilization to evolve through a multitude of cultures, borrowing from each others.

Alas, a thousand times alas, who says ambitious project also says development times that are difficult to predict and Amplitude Studios finds out at its expense. Especially since the Covid-19 pandemic has quite upset working methods.

Originally, Humankind was announced for "during 2020" before the Spaniards postponed its release for the first time. They had given themselves a little air by shifting to "April 2021", but will not yet be able to keep this date.

Now slated for an August 17, 2021 release so the team has time to "focus on improving accessibility, pacing, balancing, diplomacy, and AI. ". Patience and length of time… you know the rest!
