Diablo ii: resurrected continues to receive regular updates, and is about to experience significant changes, some of which have not been deployed on the original game for ten years.

Blizzard has indeed shared a blog post presenting, in addition to the introduction of new features, a global rebalancing of the different classes on its venerable hack'n slash. This major update will first receive a beta on the public test region on PC via Battle.Net in early 2022, before being deployed a little later.

Climb the social ladder

Absent since the game was released in September, a Ladder system will finally see the light of day. This will be divided into four parts: Standard, Hardcore, Standard Extension and Hardcore Extension. As their name suggests, the first two are therefore interested in progress on the four acts of the original game, in both modes. The last two will track progress on the unique Lord of Destruction expansion.

Each Ladder season should currently last four months and allow, depending on everyone's performance, to win batches of runic words that are completely new and imagined to be won in Ladder. A way like any other to motivate the heroes of Sanctuary to do their best to climb the social ladder.

It will therefore be necessary to try your luck creating a character exclusively dedicated to the Ladder, which will then be moved to the batch of normal characters at the end of each season.

After ten years, Diablo II is getting a balance patch

This part of the blog post may as much surprise as raise a few eyebrows. While the Diablo II: Resurrected teams initially wanted to offer the closest possible experience to the original game, including bugs, now all the classes in the game will experience balancing changes. A common phenomenon on Diablo III, but which had not happened on the father of hack'n slash for ten years.

Blizzard thus intends to make some changes to all the classes of the game, in order to make certain categories of skills generally little or not used in the highest difficulty levels more viable. So it won't be “axe nerfs” as Blizzard has accustomed us to, but buffs for all classes.

The effectiveness of melee skills should be increased for the Amazon, the Barbarian and the Paladin, as well as the martial skills of the Assassin and some little used traps. The Druid will be entitled to a rebalancing of his physical skills and summons, like the Necromancer, to make more of them viable. Finally, the Witch will be able to count on more spells made more effective, whatever the discipline.

Blizzard invites those curious to learn more to meet the team, accompanied by MrLlamaSC, a very active content creator in the Diablo universe, at 21 p.m. (Paris time) for a stream dedicated to this important update. day.
