A little boost for the integration of the ray tracing remaster of Crysis.

With the v2.1 update, Crytek had boosted the performance of its Crysis Remastered on NVIDIA RTX graphics cards thanks to the integration of the famous Deep Learning Super Sampling, or DLSS for short. It now reinforces the integration of ray tracing.

Ray tracing “everywhere”

Crytek specifies that it is still only an “experimental” mode, but points out that the v2.1.2 update focuses on the integration of a ray tracing boost mode. In other words, the integration of ray tracing in the game will move up a gear without affecting performance.

As the developers explain in the update information, this is about adding ray tracing reflections on almost all surfaces in the game. Crytek advances better support for ray casting on the rough surfaces and, finally, it emphasizes a strengthening of specular reflection.

Alongside these modifications purely related to ray tracing, Crytek has also made some bug fixes, among which we will especially note an optimization of the use of video memory in RTX mode and some problems with the display of certain reflections on distant surfaces. or in 4K.

The update is available now via the Epic Games Store.
