Crysis remastered goes to version 2.1 on PC and in maximum performance thanks to DLSS, a feature expected since its release.

It is through its site that the German studio Crytek announces the good news. With support for NVIDIA's Deep Learning Super Sampling, owners of RTX graphics cards should see a performance jump of around 40%. Beyond this new feature introduced in a free update, Crysis Remastered also receives its share of bug fixes and improvements on PC.

As a reminder, NVIDIA's DLSS technology allows you to benefit from a marked improvement in performance with compatible GPUs thanks to deep-learning and artificial intelligence. This allows in particular on 4K games to take advantage of better rendered, sharper images, while ensuring a certain stability frame by frame.

While it was expected when the game was released in September 2020, along with ray-tracing support, it finally took until March to see this feature land on Crysis Remastered. With DLSS activated, the German studio Crytek promises a performance gain of around 40% in the game, provided of course that you have a GPU that can take advantage of this technology.

Perhaps at last, 14 years after the release of the original game, a well-armed configuration will be able to answer the famous question: "Is it possible to run Crysis?" ".

The Crytek teams are also working on a few bug fixes that occurred following the integration of DLSS support, such as blurred distant textures or poorly rendered motion blur. All patches can be viewed in detail on the Reddit topic posted by Crytek, cited in source below.

Finally, the Crytek community manager wanted to reassure console players on the aforementioned Reddit topic. If the PC version was in the spotlight here, the Xbox and PlayStation versions (more likely Xbox Series X|S and PS5) should receive “incredible changes” very soon.
