Despite its global success, Animal Crossing: New Horizons was sometimes targeted by some criticism from lovers of the license. Indeed, the latter deplored the absence of emblematic characters in this Nintendo Switch opus.
But this hitch will soon be corrected thanks to a major update.
A little animation on the island
It is the date of November 5 that Nintendo has chosen to deploy the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update. And, since this will be the final major patch for the game, the developers have gone all out. Last week, we already discovered all the new features through a long presentation. But today, we are going to focus on the NPCs (non-playable characters) who will land on our island during this update.
Of course, we have to start with this dear Robusto, the pigeon that works at Le Perchoir. He can serve coffee to the player for the modest sum of 200 bells. Other residents will parade through this café located within the island's museum. We will even have the possibility to invite friends in multiplayer to have a good time.
The whole troop puts down its luggage
But Robusto will not come alone! The 2.0 update will also allow us to meet Admiral and his famous boat. It will lead the player to a mysterious island for 1 bells. The kappa sailor will not hesitate to push the song to keep us busy during this trip. As for Ginette, the little pink dog, she will come and teach us how to make new haircuts. It will be on Joe's Island, since the update will expand the photographer's island.
In addition, Astrid will also be making a comeback! The panther has appeared in all episodes of the saga and therefore could not miss the opportunity to invite itself into Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Using her crystal ball, she will reveal to the player her daily luck. Finally, let's close this list with the tortoise Tortimer. The latter was the mayor of the village of each game until Animal Crossing: New Leaf on 3DS. We do not yet know its precise role in the Nintendo Switch opus.
In short, we will clearly not be bored on our island! Remember that the 2.0 update will be free for all owners of Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Nintendo Switch. Besides, the Happy Home Paradise DLC will also be released on November 5th. Its price is set at 24,99 euros, but it will be offered to Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack subscribers at 39,99 euros per year.
