Animal Crossing New Horizons: version 2.0 and "Happy Home Paradise" DLC coming soon

And this is how theAnimal Crossing New Horizons Direct ends! It was an opportunity to discover an impressive wave of content that will surge on the players' island in just a few days.

In addition to the long-awaited update, Nintendo took the opportunity to unveil a big paid DLC that will land next month.

Unique places to visit

Let's start with version 2.0 which will be deployed for free on November 5th. It is through this final update that the famous Perch of this good old Robusto will arrive in the museum of our island. Players will be able to visit this cafe to quench their thirst and meet locals. Amiibo figurines will even be usable on site to accommodate the character of our choice.

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons update also marks the return of Admiral who will lead us to a mysterious island. This place will be littered with strange plants where the seasons and the time can change. Joe's Island has also been revamped. In addition to the photographer's studio, this place will be able to accommodate new businesses. The player will be able to participate financially in their construction. For example, Astrid will predict our avatar's luck via her crystal ball.

New things you don't know what to do with!

But we are far from finished! Hold your breath because there is going to be sport! Thus, aerobic exercises will make their entrance and will require the player to make efforts via motion control by serving Joy-Con or via traditional buttons. Promulgating by-laws (such as changing residents' wake-up time) will be made possible and the infrastructure limit will increase to 10.

Let's briefly go over the rest, including the possibility of cooking, choosing new exteriors for our house, buying additional Nook Miles items, additional new hairstyles or even using the 11 new facial expressions. It will also be possible to modify the decoration of the ceiling, to store objects in a storage room placed outside, to cross narrow spaces and to dig up Gyroids and not just fossils.

It is not easy to make an overview (no pun intended) of all the elements announced by Nintendo. Because we can also add an overhaul of the NookPhone camera, a new island guide for beginners, 12 new music for this dear Kéké or even an installation kit allowing you to place ladders everywhere on the island. But in addition to version 2.0, a paid DLC this time will also be released in November.

For budding creators

Entitled Happy Home Paradise, the extension will propel the player into the heart of Lou's Villas. The aim will be to develop the destination by building houses in line with the expectations of holidaymakers. We can choose the island, visit the house and then decorate it. The size of the rooms will be modifiable and partitions, columns, lighting and other ambient sounds can be carefully selected. A school, a hospital and a restaurant will be fully customizable. Once the tasks are completed, the player will be paid for their efforts, which will give them access to never-before-seen items.

All new DLC design techniques will remain fully functional back on our island. Happy Home Paradise will therefore be released on November 5 with a price set at 24,99 euros. Pre-orders will open on October 29. Subscribers to the Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack program will have access to Animal Crossing: New Horizons DLC at no additional cost, but also to Mega Drive and Nintendo 64 games for 39,99 euros/year.
