How to get more stones in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Animal Crossing New Horizons has lots of unique DIY recipes that create some really cool items. Although many of these recipes call for stones, you might be wondering how to get your hands on them.

On your island, you may have caught a single stone while fishing or found a few stones in a floating balloon. Maybe a villager gave you some stones to help with one of the island improvement projects.

Although stones seem to be found most often, it is near rocks that can be found scattered around your island. However, if you hit the rock with an ax or a shovel, stones will also erupt. It is also possible for other materials such as clay, iron, gold or bells to come out of the rock when hit. You can hit the same rock until it stops giving you material. Then you can do the same with all the other rocks on your island, every day.

You can also find these rocks on mystery tours to other islands. These islands will always have three rocks available to hit. One of the benefits of this is that each new mystery island you visit will have three different rocks to hit. This will maximize your stone earning potential, as on your own island rocks can only drop materials once per day.

That's it, that's how to get more stones in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Don't forget that when you're not using the stones for a recipe, you can sell them for 75 Bells each. Making stone harvesting a daily habit will have your storage overflowing with stones before you know it!
