Ordinances in Animal Crossing: New Horizons change the hours residents of the island remain active. The ordinance mechanic allows players to change the activity of villagers to fit their play schedule. An ordinance even increases the monetary gain from selling items. - Ordinance on the beautiful island: the default island setting, allowing varied villager activity
- Early Bird Ordinance: Villagers are most active early in the morning
- Night Owl Ordinance: Villagers are most active late at night
- Bell Boom Ordinance: All buy and sell prices increase by 20%
