Aerosoft and the Asobo studio collaborated to develop this first complex aircraft cookies.

Last August, Microsoft and the Spaniards of Asobo Studio revived the Flight Simulator franchise. Acclaimed by critics, the game was a great commercial success and was completed by multiple free and paid modules, designed by Asobo or independents, the famous third parties.

Nine liveries and a detailed cockpit

Today, the third party studio Aerosoft is the first to distribute a so-called "complex" aircraft. In this case, it is the CRJ 550 / CRJ 700 of the Canadian Bombardier before the CRJ division was bought by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

The CRJ 550 / CRJ 700 are two variations of an aircraft capable of carrying between 50 and 100 passengers depending on the configuration. It is above all an airliner, therefore more complex than the previous aircraft put on the market by third parties.

Aerosoft, for example, had already distributed the TB21 Trinidad from Socata, a module billed at 25 euros. In the case of the CRJ 550 / CRJ 700, the bill is a little higher (50 euros) due to the complexity of the device.

The company specifies that it has provided more specific work on the cockpit so that it is as perfect in “normal” view as in VR. There's also talk of offering nine liveries (two for the CRJ 550 and seven for the CRJ 700), "smooth" animations for the undercarriage and doors, and support for weather effects.

Given the legacy of the Flight Simulator franchise, no doubt this "complex" third-party device is just the first in a long series.
