In August 2020, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout launched its wild races on PC and PlayStation 4. The success was immediate and this new record proves that the title developed by Mediatonic is a real phenomenon.
Like a certain Rocket League five years earlier, Fall Guys chose to land on PS4 directly via PlayStation Plus. All subscribers therefore had the option of downloading the game at no additional cost. A great way to do some publicity and reach a colossal number of players from the day of the release. And the least we can say is that this strategy has paid off!

A world record for little guys
On its site, the Mediatonic studio announces that Fall Guys entered the famous Guinness Book as the most downloaded PlayStation Plus game in history. However, the number of downloads has not been disclosed, which does not allow a precise analysis of the performance achieved.
Barely 24 hours after its release, Fall Guys already had more than 1,5 million players on its servers. And by December 2020, more than 11 million copies of the game had been sold on PC. What is certain is that Fall Guys is popular!
