Animal Crossing New Horizons April Bugs Guide

Animal Crossing New Horizons April Bugs Guide

Just like you see in real life, bugs are a seasonal, if not monthly, thing in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Most insects are only available at certain times of the year and at certain times.

It's April, so here we'll focus on bugs that can be caught in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres this month to give to Blathers or sell.

Bugs are a little trickier than fish in that they can be found all over the island in different ways. Here's what the locations mean in the tables below so you have a bit more context:

  • Flight – These bugs will fly freely around the island.
  • On Trees – These bugs will hang on tree trunks.
  • In the trees – These insects must be shaken from the trees to be caught.
  • Under Rocks – These bugs will come out of rocks when you hit them.
  • Tree Stumps - These insects will be found sitting on tree stumps.
  • Flowers – These insects are found on flowers.
  • Underground - These insects must be heard and then dug up, without cracks in the ground.
  • Near Lights – These bugs hover around building lights.
  • Rocks on the Beach – These bugs can be found on the rock formations on the beaches of your island.

And finally: bugs that won't be available next month are marked with an asterisk (*) by name!
