During its event to celebrate its 20th anniversary, Xbox still offered some gifts to its community. Starting with the launch of multiplayerHalo Infinite and a first glimpse of the series Halo which will arrive in 2022. But that's not all…

Microsoft announced on Monday the expansion of its backward compatibility program with more than 70 Xbox and Xbox 360 titles added today. An extremely comprehensive list (see below) that includes iconic titles. We therefore find Dead or Alive 3, the FEAR license, all Max Payne, Manhunt, TimeSplitters 2 or even Star Wars games including The Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith.

Boost your old games

All previously mentioned apps support Auto HDR on Xbox Series X|S. As for games from the Xbox era (2002), their resolution will be drastically increased on all consoles ranging from Xbox One to Series X|S. Also, the FPS Boost function (which increases the framerate up to 60 FPS) will be applied to 11 of the backward compatible titles launched this week and 26 others that were already downloadable.

Among this last category, we find big names like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, Dead Space 2 & 3 or even Alan Wake. Finally, the FPS Boost will be gradually deployed on 33 Xbox Cloud Gaming games including Fallout 4 and The Evil Within 2. Quite a program!
