During a Q&A livestream on YouTube relating to Microsoft Flight Simulator, the game director indicated that xCloud should soon support new peripherals.

For now, Microsoft's cloud service only supports gamepads and touch controls, while Asobo Studios' excellent flight sim also supports keyboard/mouse combo, even on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S . This should change soon.

New Ways to Play in the Cloud

Among the big March arrivals on the Game Pass, the Cloud version of Microsoft Flight Simulator has been emulated. Not content with offering to sail in the clouds absolutely everywhere, this xCloud version has also proven to be extremely stable and pleasant to play. Small downside for some, however: the lack of support for the keyboard / mouse combo.

This element was rightly raised by a fan during a Q&A session organized by the developers of Microsoft Flight Simulator. Enthusiast Jorg Neumann, director of the ambitious project, replied: “The next step for us is the addition of mouse and keyboard support on the xCloud version. But it depends on the team in charge of the Cloud. I can't give a precise date, but I know it's on the way. »

Beyond Microsoft Flight Simulator, this therefore indicates that Xbox Cloud Gaming will soon finally support the famous keyboard / mouse combo in a broader sense. However, it will be necessary to show a little patience before an official announcement from the team in charge of the service.
