While everything seemed to be over for the latest expansion of the MMO Blizzard juggernaut, a fourth season is looming while waiting for the sequel.

Shadowlands indeed welcomed its final update last month, but Blizzard has obviously not finished with the Shadowlands.

Make new with old

On its forums, Blizzard has presented its plans for season 4 of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. Announcing wanting to offer a “fresh approach” never seen in a new season on its successful MMO, the American giant is offering nothing less than to take a look at nostalgia.

Mythic+ raids will indeed host eight iconic dungeons from the four previous expansions which are, as a reminder, in chronological order, Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, Legion and Battle for Azeroth. Three Shadowlands raids will also be redesigned to offer a greater challenge, with great rewards at stake.

Finally, PvP will welcome a new level of equipment specific to this activity, as well as the usual seasonal rewards such as mounts or titles. For all the details, head to the forum post announcing the news, cited in source below.

A way like any other to make players wait, while Blizzard intends to present what the future holds for its MMO via an announcement scheduled for April 19.
