VR mod for Elden Ring reveals 15 minutes of gameplay

We were talking about it a few days ago: the spectacular Elden Ring will be soon playable in VR thanks to the work of a hardworking modder called Luke Ross. And the specialized site UploadVR to offer us a first glimpse of the gameplay, in addition to a complete preview.

We're still not convinced that this is the best way to enjoy FromSoftware's souls-like, but we have to agree that the result is amazing.

See the Underworld with new eyes

You, who already curse the counter-intuitive interface of FromSoftware games, take a deep breath. Virtually unchanged, the Elden Ring UI in VR is all the more disturbing. Also, people prone to motion sickness are invited to spare themselves the viewing of this video โ€” it moves a lot.

The Upload VR journalist begins by rubbing shoulders with the Sentinel of the Tree who camped in front of the exit of your tomb, in the Necrolimbo. The opportunity to realize that the roulades in first person view will quickly make you return your breakfast.

But it must be recognized that this new way of seeing the Entre-terre does not lack charm. Of course, the mod is still incomplete and flawed. The character's helmet, in this case, will often come into our field of vision. But just to be able to observe the faces of the various characters in the game up close, or to feast on the magnificent landscapes that Elden Ring can offer us, it may be worth the detour.

Luke Ross will make his mod available for a fee via his Patreon page.
