Elden Ring comes out in less than a month, if From Software does not punish us with yet another postponement by then. Twenty days is a long time, but fans of the Japanese studio's Soulsborne will be able to wait a bit with the demake PSX version of Bloodborne which has just been released for free on PC.
Yes, Bloodborne has finally arrived on PC! Maybe not in the shape we wanted, but it's already a start.
Yharnam 1997
After 13 months of almost solitary development, developer Lilith Walther released her first PlayStation demake called Bloodborne on January 31, free on Itch.io. So no, it's not the entire From Software game released on PlayStation 4 in 2015 (already!). Nevertheless, you will be able to survey the first area of โโthe game in Yharnam. This will be an opportunity to meet the Clerical Beast and Father Gascoigne in particular, and to fight them using a dozen different weapons from those in the original game.
The launch trailer shows us once again the colossal work done by the developer to age while sublimating the famous Gothic city with graphics of the first PlayStation. The music has also been reworked thanks to The Noble Demon, a YouTube channel specializing in video game music rearrangements to give them that very โ90sโ sound.
Lilith Walther wanted to transcribe all the gaming experience of the time right down to the use of the buttons on the controller. Thus, players can only use the directional cross to move. The developer has also added a visual option that simulates the rendering of an old cathode ray screen as well as an option that slows down loading times to suffer from the slowness of the time.
