Our dear witcher is relaunching his career despite the six long years that separate him from his last adventures. Indeed, the players have plunged back in number into the excellent The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

When the first season of the Netflix series The Witcher arrived at the end of 2019, a rather logical phenomenon was observed. During this same period, sales of the third opus developed by CD Projekt RED soared at the same time. The series then made it possible to democratize the license and many curious people hastened to discover the legendary RPG in stride.

Bis repetita

At the end of December 2021, about two weeks after the launch of season 2 of The Witcher, the trend is once again on the rise. If we believe the data collected by SteamDB, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been particularly popular in recent days. The Polish studio's game peaked at 62 concurrent players on December 287, up from around 23 a week before the series was released.

The same goes for the total viewers on Twitch, which climbed to 24 viewers, compared to just 339 at the end of November. Finally, The Witcher 4 currently occupies the 962rd place of the best Steam sales. Of course, these figures relate only to the PC version, and the dynamics are undoubtedly substantially similar on consoles.
