Nintendo's hybrid console surprises its world with an unexpected system update. No major revolution in the program, but a small element could still help players who lack free space on their machine.
Unfortunately, the now infamous Nintendo Switch Pro still hasn't wanted to show itself to the world. Never mind ! The initial model still has a bright future ahead of it, and the Japanese manufacturer has just rolled out its 12.1.0 update. In addition to improving the overall stability of the system, this patch contains a rather surprising, but nevertheless appreciable feature.
No need to make space
Thus, when a player wishes to download a game update without having the required free space (on the console or a microSD card), he can now choose to delete the old data of the software concerned in order to welcome the new patch. This manipulation has a small defect, since it will be impossible to launch the targeted game before having finished downloading the new data. Nothing really disabling for users equipped with a good internet connection.
This version 12.1.0 of the Nintendo Switch is accompanied by another update for the Joy-Con of the console. But we don't really know what the latter brings.
