And if we are unfortunately not able to analyze the performance of the very recent Switch OLED, the range as a whole is doing extremely well!
Who still doesn't have their Switch?
Thus, over the past six months (and until September 30, 2021), the Nintendo Switch has sold 8,3 million copies. This brings the total of consoles sold worldwide to 92,87 million units. It is the seventh best-selling machine in video game history. The Wii U, with its 13,56 million units, pales in comparison to its little sister!
Around 681 million Switch games have also been sold. It is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which occupies the first place of the podium with 38,74 million copies. It is followed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons (34,85 million), Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (25,71 million) and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (24,13 million). The future looks bright for the Switch.
