Repeatedly postponed and now expected in 2022 on all consoles and PCs, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum allows himself to be approached via his producer, Harald Riegler, on the occasion of Nacon Connect 2021.
We already knew it, the title of Daedalic Entertainment will allow us to fill in the blanks left by JRR Tolkien as to the misadventures of Gollum between the moment of the loss of his Precious at the hands of Bilbo and his meeting with his nephew, Frodo. In its heart of gameplay, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum looks like a certain Styx. We will thus have to take advantage of the agility and slyness of this iconic character to sneak into different places, from the slave scythes of the Black Tower of Sauron to the Black Forest of the elves.
The opportunity to discover these emblematic places of Tolkien's works from a certain point of view, in a unique visual style combining the artistic direction of Daedalic Entertainment and the faithful adaptation of the descriptions of its original author. We will therefore be entitled to radically different atmospheres, but always with a certain verticality and many ways of apprehending each zone.
In Lord of the Rings: Gollum, everyone seems to have a special interest in poor Smeagol. We will therefore have the opportunity to meet other highly important characters from the original work, such as the Mouth of Sauron, Thranduil, Lord of Mirkwood and father of Legolas, Gandalf the Grey, and many others.
However, no release date has been specified, leaving us in the Web imprisoned while waiting for a release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC during the year 2022.
