A limited edition pocket console at a bargain price
Game & Watch Super Mario Bros. was supposed to be produced for a limited period of time, and therefore in stopped quantities. Once the stocks have run out, there will be no reissue of this mini console, a tribute to the most emblematic character in video games: Mario. But Mario's 35th birthday has passed, and not all consoles have been sold.
Cdiscount decides to empty its surplus stock and thus offers this console at only €29,99 instead of €49,99 during Black Friday. You can pick it up for free at a pick-up point near you or receive it for free in 24 hours or less if you are a Cdiscount à Volonté member.
A console that acts as a clock, a real historical monument
The Game & Watch is a real collector's item, retro in more ways than one and containing a game never before seen here. Retro because it takes on the look of Game & Watch, the ancestor of portable consoles with fairly simplistic games in design, but not necessarily simple. Moreover, one of the titles present on the Game & Watch Super Mario Bros. takes up one of these titles: Ball, with the design of Mario. The goal is to pass balls from right to left by juggling.
The other two games on it are NES titles: Super Mario Bros., the classic, the very first adventures dedicated to the hero we know today. The other game, The Lost Levels, is the "real" Super Mario Bros. 2, and not the one we saw in Spain when it was released on the NES. This was just a Mario skin placed on a Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic game, which explains the presence of enemies and scenery that we never saw again later in the saga.
Finally, the console can act as an analog clock and show you the time during the 8 hours that its battery lasts, with a choice of 35 Mario themes or backgrounds to symbolize the 35 candles that the mascot blew out last year.
