No offense to Game Awards, Chicory is one of the most outstanding independent games of 2021. So we are not sulking our pleasure when its author, Greg Lobanov, announces that he has joined forces with the same partners for his next project.
On the occasion of the new year, the developer has also released a first gif representing what will perhaps be the protagonist of its future title.

We suspect it: the time has not yet come to find out more about Greg Lobanov's next game. We just know that the team behind Chicory is back in full for this new project. And that it obviously includes composer Lena Raine, whom many know for her work on Celeste or Guild Wars 2.
Credited with a 90/100 on the Metacritic ratings aggregator, Chicory is a Zelda-like that has distinguished itself for its thoughtful discussion of inheritance, responsibility and the anxiety that results from it. Colorful and accessible, without ever being childish or soothing, it sticks in our minds as one of the smartest games of 2021. Not least thanks to its main game mechanic involving a brush and its color palette.
Available since this summer on PC, PS4 and PS5, Chicory recently came to Nintendo Switch shortly before Christmas.
