Pushed back just before its originally scheduled release on December 10, 2021, Syberia: The World Before should be launched later this year.
The promise will be kept and Microids announces the new release date of its highly anticipated adventure game.
New release date for Syberia: The World Before
Microids does not want to repeat the mistakes made with Syberia 3. The Spanish publisher preferred to delay the release of its next big cartridge rather than deliver a game in poor condition. Finally, Syberia: The World Before will be available on March 18, 2022 on PC. A somewhat special outing since Kate finds herself orphaned for the first time by her creator, Benoît Socal, who passed away on May 28. “We wanted to offer an experience highlighting the story of the adventures of Kate Walker, imagined by Benoît Sokal. These few extra weeks that we have agreed with the Koalabs studio have allowed us to offer a video game that lives up to this ambition,” Microids said in a press release.
In addition, music lovers will be able to get the original soundtrack composed by Inon Zur on vinyl when the game is launched or listen to the songs that will punctuate the adventure directly on music streaming platforms. Syberia: The World Before will allow players to alternate between two eras and continents. On the one hand Kate Walker, abandoned in a salt mine in 2004, and on the other the pianist Dana Roze, a new protagonist, living in a Europe of the 1930s.
