It's official ! We now know the identity of the next and last fighter who will join the roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nintendo has partnered with Square Enix to offer us the role of Sora in the fighting game.

A hero with heart
The director of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Masahiro Sakurai, had given us an appointment this Tuesday, October 5 at 16:00 p.m. to discover the last wrestler who will join the arena of the title exclusive to Nintendo Switch. Thus, the game will count a total of 89 fighters from October 19th. It is on this date that Sora will land as the thirteenth and final character added after the launch of the software.
This hero is extremely well known since he occupies the leading role in the Kingdom Hearts series from Square Enix. During the live presentation, Sakurai clarified that Sora was the most requested fighter by fans according to a poll carried out at the time of Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS. And to end the casting in style, the development teams did not do things by halves.

Sora from every angle
First of all, the character will have the possibility of expressing himself with his English or Japanese voice. In combat, Sora will be able to use a magic attack that will change automatically after each throw. He will also be able to counter enemy attacks (by pressing down + B) using his Keyblade. Several outfits from Kingdom Hearts I, II, III and 3D: Dream Drop Distance will be available.
In addition, Sora will be entitled to his own level in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This is the Forgotten Fortress and it can evolve over the course of the fight. So the background will see scrolling illustrations of different Kingdom Hearts characters like Riku, Roxas, Xion, Terra, Ventus, and Aqua.
