Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Announced March 18, 2022 Without Chaos

After a… chaotic announcement during the Square Enix segment of E3 2021, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin gives itself a release date of March 18, 2022 on the occasion of a more subdued trailer.

The Action-RPG headed by Team Ninja which, as its name suggests, returns to the origins of the cult franchise, takes the opportunity to further expose its history, as well as a much more accomplished visual part.

And Chaos became crystals

We find our group of three scruffy and mismatched warriors, this time more elegantly dressed, and introduced to a certain Neon. This prophesies that four Warriors of Light will have to join forces to find and destroy four corrupted crystals that are ravaging the world. Along the way, our friends will come face to face with many more or less formidable enemies, including elemental creatures and a certain… Tiamat.

Team Ninja being at the controls, this new Final Fantasy title returning to the beginnings of the franchise will feature gameplay closer to a Dark Souls than a J-RPG like the first opuses. It will indeed go through save points to restore its vital essence, which will bring the previously slain enemies back to life. Instead of classes, a profession system similar to that of the MMO Final Fantasy XIV will be in the game.

Unlike the E3 2021 trailer, this one also shows us more varied sets and a much better overall visual aspect. However, it will take a little patience before reconnecting with the origins of Final Fantasy, Stranger of Paradise being therefore expected on March 18, 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. A demo is however playable from now until October 11th.
