Launched a little over a month ago, the Steam deck has welcomed many improvements lately. And, in order to promote its portable console (and computer), Valve recently took stock of its new features.

Last week, the Steam Deck received a big update with the aim of optimizing various parameters. Indeed, if the Valve machine made a strong impression from the first days following its launch, some gray areas persisted. However, great efforts have been made by the American firm thanks to relatively generous patches in new features.

A good start for the Steam Deck

In an article published on its site, Valve chose to reference the elements brought to the Steam Deck during its first month of existence. For example, 2 games are now compatible with the console, and more will follow in the near future. The company underlines in passing the progress made against cheating, on the virtual keyboard (simultaneous use of the two trackpads) and as to autonomy. So, to improve the battery endurance, the user can now decrease the frame rate to 000 FPS.

Finally, it is obviously the possibility of installing Windows 10 (and soon Windows 11) that has caught the attention of players. Valve is currently working on audio drivers and "hopes to share some good news soon" on this. What is certain is that the Steam Deck will still improve.
