Rather well received in its PS4 version (and Xbox One), Sonic Colors Ultimate does much less well on Nintendo's hybrid console. Blame it on the presence of too many graphic aberrations and other quite annoying bugs.

Available September 7 on consoles and PC, Sonic Colors: Ultimate is a remastering of the same title released on Wii in 2010. Fans of the famous blue hedgehog have been eagerly awaiting the return of this much-loved opus. And if the owners of a PS4 or an Xbox will inherit an extremely correct edition (with an average of 76% on Metacritic), the situation is unfortunately very different on Nintendo Switch.

We're going to need some patches!

In recent hours, many Internet users have shared some pretty impressive bugs, mostly from the Switch version. The tweets highlight colossal display issues. Sonic sometimes passes through the sets and significant slowdowns can also occur. Add to that the fact that the game only runs at 30 FPS on Nintendo's machine and has few visual improvements compared to the title launched on Wii more than 10 years ago.

Also remember that the physical edition of Sonic Colors: Ultimate has been postponed for the European market. Blame it on logistical issues. As for the bugs, let's hope for the rapid deployment of one or more fixes.
