Logical sequel to the first film which met with some success, sonic 2 the movie there is a release date, with an official trailer expected this Friday.

Sonic returns accompanied to the cinema
While the synopsis of the film had leaked, as well as some images of the shooting a few months ago, the cinema release date of Sonic 2 the film was already scheduled for sometime in April 2022. Now we know exactly the latter, set for April 6. An official movie poster also accompanies the announcement.
We will of course find Sonic facing Robotnik, still camped by a Jim Carrey in great shape, but not only. As the film poster indicates, the faithful Tails will also be there, but also the very classy Knuckles, voiced by none other than Idris Elba (Thor, Pacific Rim, Luther).
A spoiler alert is in order: this second film featuring Sonic and his friends should be interested in the famous Emeralds of Chaos. So it wouldn't be surprising to see Super Sonic appear in all his golden glory for an epic finale.
