Skull and Bones: Ubisoft's game is once again in turmoil

Decidedly, the information follows and sadly resembles each other when it comes to Skull and Bones. The piracy game signed Ubisoft has just suffered a major departure within its teams.

Announced in June 2017, Skull and Bones is going through an extremely difficult gestation at Ubisoft Singapore. Targeted by an investigation pointing the finger at its very toxic corporate culture last August, the studio does not seem to see the end of the tunnel with its very promising project inspired by the excellent Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. And if reassuring news finally reached us in November, those of today are not of the same ilk...

Abandon ship...

This week, the Video Games Chronicle site tells us that the director of Skull and Bones, Antoine Henry, has just left Ubisoft Singapore after almost 15 years of service. We don't know yet if this departure will have an impact on the development of the game, but it's yet another blow for the company.

According to rumors peddled at the end of 2021, Skull and Bones was to enter the beta phase by the first quarter of 2022. Information which could indicate that we were finally going to review the game this year. It remains to be seen if plans have not once again been upset following Henry's departure.
