Two months before its launch, Scarlet nexus decides to show gameplay through two trailers. The opportunity to discover the novice Yuito Sumeragi and the experienced Kasane Randall, both members of the Extermination of Others Brigade.
Unfortunately quite brief, the two videos nevertheless display a certain dynamism. Lively and sharp, our two heroes can count on their psionic powers and on the presence of allies to fight the mutant threat that descends on Neo-Himuka.

The ball of QTEs
As a reminder, the adventure begins by choosing to embody one of the two heroes. Two different paths which will intersect throughout the scenario and which will make it possible to unravel all the mysteries of this “brain punk” world in full mutation.
The clairvoyant Yuito has, among other things, a certain visual acuity which gives him the opportunity to target the enemy's weak point and then attack him using his pyrokinetic techniques. The seasoned Kasane, meanwhile, excels in telekinesis, which allows her to support her range of blows with ranged attacks.
Telekinetic powers oblige, the combat environments are full of contextual elements that you can use during your confrontations. The game, fluid on the whole and endowed with nice visual effects, is however slowed down by contextual actions which will require you to carry out precise commands with the buttons or the triggers. Our heroes, supported by two brigade comrades, will also be able to count on the techniques and skills of the latter to progress.
Available from June 25 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One and PC, Scarlet Nexus will benefit from the simultaneous release of an anime made by Sunrise studio, at work on Cowboy Bebop, Code Geass or more Gundam, to complete his universe.
