Forgotten despite its success during the PS3 era, the license Resistance could have come back to the fore. If this return is less and less likely, an idea had nevertheless germinated in the mind of a studio belonging to Sony.

This week, the director of Days Gone took to social media to openly criticize Sony for the company's refusal to start production on a sequel. Jeff Ross, who left Bend Studio several months ago, explained himself in more detail at the microphone of David Jaffe's podcast (the creator of God of War). It was also an opportunity to discover a rather interesting anecdote.

Without too much resistance

Since Sony had refused to start production on Days Gone 2, Bend Studio had to find another project. If the prospect of creating a reboot of Siphon Filter (the studio's flagship license) did not interest Ross at all, the latter had imagined a Resistance in an open world. If this saga of FPS was imagined by Insomniac Games, Bend had on his side realized the TPS Resistance Retribution on PSP.

Sony was ultimately not thrilled with such a project and Jeff Ross even specifies that the Japanese manufacturer was ready to discuss everything apart from a second Days Gone. Currently, Bend Studio is reportedly finally working on a new license.
