Si Resident evil village has been a great success since its release, the PC version still encounters some technical problems, which a patch expected tomorrow intends to partly correct.

After in particular jerks due to anti-piracy measures erased by a first patch, the addition of support for AMD's FidelityFX Super Sampling, this new patch plans to mainly tackle problems with the pure and simple launch of the game.

Traffic jams to enter the Village

Since its release last May, it seems that many combinations of graphics cards and processors fail to simply launch the game. A serious drawback whose main culprit would a priori be the processor. A discussion thread specifically dedicated to this problem can be found on the Reddit of Resident Evil Village. A most complex situation, given that several very different combinations and models are having difficulty launching the game on Steam.

The patch expected tomorrow therefore intends to come back to the problem and try to solve it. From there to say that all PCs will finally be able to launch the game, nothing is less certain. Another central element of this new patch: a minor graphical optimization, which should slightly improve overall in-game performance.

It remains to be seen if the PC version of Resident Evil Village will be more stable tomorrow, so that Capcom can calmly turn its gaze to the future. A DLC for this opus had indeed been announced without further details during E3, and the multiplayer spin-off Resident Re: Verse has been postponed, once again, this time for 2022.
