Resident Evil Showcase: new demos for Village and Resident Evil 4 in VR

This week, Capcom organized its second Resident Evil Showcase and once again, it's Resident evil village who was honored. The presentation was an opportunity to discover even more gameplay, but also to reveal some little surprises for fans of the saga.


Yet another trailer has been released and various demos have been made official.

Several demos in approach

Capcom promised it and we will have a new Resident Evil Village demo very soon. Indeed, this time-limited trial version will be released on all media (PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Stadia) on May 2 at 2 a.m. and will be playable for 24 hours. It will be possible to play it for an hour before it expires. Pre-downloading is available now on PlayStation. But that's not all.


PS4 and PS5 players will have access to two other exclusive demos. The first will be put online on April 18 at 19:00 p.m. before being removed on April 19 at 3 a.m. It will provide access to a 30-minute portion of the game taking place in the village. Finally, from April 25 at 19:00 p.m. until April 26 at 3 a.m., a final demo will invite us into the castle for half an hour.

Resident Evil Village didn't come alone

The Japanese publisher has also confirmed the return of Mercenaries mode to Resident Evil Village. These timed games invite the player to kill as many monsters as possible in order to earn points which will be counted at the end of the allotted time. Weapons and character skills can be customized. Now let's move on to another iconic installment in the saga.


Thus, Resident Evil 4 was also in the spotlight during the showcase. Alas, no remake on the horizon, but a port on Oculus Quest 2. Virtual reality obliges, the title will opt for a first-person view and will retain its graphics of yesteryear. Gameplay will also be optimized for Facebook's headset.
