Resident Evil 4 VR: the exclusive Oculus Quest 2 will be released on October 21

Announced during Resident Evil Showcase last April, Resident Evil 4 VR, an exclusivity Oculus Quest 2, will infect the VR headset from Facebook on October 21.

A new official gameplay trailer has just confirmed the release date of the virtual reality remake of one of the best titles in the Resident Evil franchise.

Welcome back, stranger !

Oculus Quest 2 users will therefore have a good excuse to put their headphones back on October 21 for the release of Resident Evil 4 VR. It will be a remake faithful to the original work, down to its different levels, all powered by the Unreal Engine 4 for a better overall visual experience.

We will play Leon Scott Kennedy in the first person in his search for Ashley, the daughter of the American President, kidnapped by a strange cult in rural Spain. The game will support manual movement or teleportation for those more sensitive to motion sickness.

The whole game has been redesigned to push the interaction in virtual reality. Thus, instead of going through the iconic inventory case, any equipment can be deployed from Leon's virtual body in real time. Even the save rooms typewriter will be fully interactive, as well as the original puzzles. In combat, it will be possible to wield a weapon in each hand, such as a knife and a pistol.

The wait won't be very long for VR fans with an Oculus Quest 2, since they will be able to (RE)visit this monument of the Resident Evil franchise from a different perspective on October 21.
