The bestseller is back

It will have been necessary to wait 11 long years before re-crossing the famous writer in the city of Bright Falls. In a letter addressed to the community, Sam Lake, the famous creative director of Remedy, explains that “the original game was only available on Xbox 360 and a few years later, on PC. We are excited about the opportunity to release the remastered version for a new generation of platforms.”

Lake also clarifies that the original experience has not been changed, indicating that the storyline will not be altered in this remaster. On the other hand, all the visual part (character models, cutscenes, etc.) has been revised with "next-gen upgrades". Thus, 4K will be de rigueur on compatible machines and the game will be optimized for PS5 / Xbox Series X|S. Finally, all DLC will be directly included.

Alan Wake Remastered will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via the Epic Games Store) this fall. Further details will be disclosed shortly by Remedy.
