Daniel Mullins, independent developer ofIncryption, wanted to thank the players for the success of his game by presenting a free mini-extension.

Announced on his personal Twitter account, this beta expansion entitled Inscryption: Kaycee's Mod dwells on the first part of the game to offer a pure and hard roguelike experience.

It was written in the cards

Since its release in October on Steam, Inscryption has made headlines and even knocked out the biggest end-of-year blockbusters such as Age of Empires IV, Back 4 Blood and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. A resounding success that Daniel Mullins, its whimsical developer, wanted to celebrate with his community by announcing a free mini-extension.

The extension in question is more particularly interested in the first part of the game, which was at the heart of the communication around the title, both by its developer and its publisher, Devolver. This part offered a gameplay very close to roguelike crossbred with deckbuilding, with some escape game elements.

These elements have greatly pleased the fans, so much so that this extension is exclusively interested in them. Currently in beta, Incryption: Kaycee's Mod needs testers to ensure the project lives up to expectations, as noted in Daniel Mullins' tweet.
