After the excellent Marvel's Spider-Man, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and the recent Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, the Insomniac Games studio is already focused on its future project. And this one could well be played by several people!

Insomniac Games has rarely dabbled in multiplayer experiences. In this area, the Californian studio has generally tripped over the carpet with forgettable titles like Ratchet & Clank: All for One or even Fuse. But, on the strength of their recent successes, the developers should try their luck again through a next game. In any case, this is what a recent tweet from the company suggests.

For a new license?

In this press release aimed at recruiting new faces, Insomniac declares to open five job offers for “a multiplayer project”. Among the positions listed, we find important roles such as a creative director and a person in charge of the scenario. Thus, we can imagine that this project should be a game in its own right. As to whether there is talk of a new franchise, it is still too early to say.

Admittedly, Insomniac Games shines above all for its single-player experiences. This has always been the case with Spyro, Ratchet & Clank, Resistance (to a lesser extent) and of course Spider-Man. It remains to be seen if the studio will be able to put its talent to good use in a multiplayer game.
