Rainbow Six: Extraction console performance announced

With this spin-off using the principle of Left 4 Dead, Ubisoft will once again offer a cross-gen game with Rainbow Six: Extraction.

The performances on the various consoles capable of supporting the game have been revealed.

More cross-gen?

As we know, we will still have to take our troubles patiently to finally see the arrival of real games exclusive to new generation consoles, in other words the PS5 and the Xbox Series. If a few titles are already available, third-party publishers still prefer to release their title also on PS4 and Xbox One, in order to ensure a base of important players.

This is the case of Rainbow Six: Extraction. In this spin-off, we embody the famous “operators” of the franchise, who will have to face infected in the line of a Left 4 Dead or a Back 4 Blood. Players will have to cooperate to overcome the different missions of the game.

What performance on consoles?

Responding to MP1st's questions, Bruno Lalonde, the technical manager of Rainbow Six: Extraction, detailed the performance for each of the platforms on which it will be available:

  • Xbox One: “Solid” 30 FPS at 1p resolution;
  • PS4: “Solid” 30 FPS at 1p resolution;
  • PS5: 60 FPS with 4K resolution and HDR;
  • Xbox Series: 60 FPS with 4K resolution and HDR.
He further adds that on PC, the title will benefit from a framerate of up to 120 FPS. Enough to ensure unfailing fluidity.

Rainbow Six: Extraction will be released on January 20. Note that it will be available day one in the Game Pass (PC and Xbox).
