Quantum Error migre sur l'Unreal Engine 5 et dévoile un nouveau teaser

Independent studio Teamkill Media has announced that its horror shooter Quantum error migrated to Unreal Engine 5. Development therefore continues on the latest iteration of Epic Games' graphics engine.


For the occasion, a teaser has been unveiled to show players what the game will be like with the new features of UE 5.

A significant technological advance

The developers already seem very pleased with the results they've seen since starting their work on the latest version of the engine. In their own words, the Lumen system introduced in this version totally and positively changes the immersion of the game by making the light games much more advanced.

“Surfaces are a million times more real than before since light can pass through, bounce around and cast shadows much more realistically. The performance is also incredible, with all the improvements we've made and the new technologies used we continue to have 60-80 FPS”.

Teamkill Media has therefore decided, to mark the occasion, to publish a teaser video showing quite briefly the new rendering of Quantum Error under Unreal Engine 5. Only an expert eye will be able to perceive and analyze all the small changes made, but we notice everything likewise a clear overall improvement compared to what we had seen in previous videos published. Lights, particles, surface rendering, everything suggests that this engine change was the best thing to do.


It's not yet clear when Quantum Error will release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, but the developers announced on Twitter that they're aiming for a spring 2022 window if all goes well with learning the EU 5.
