Just hours away from the launch of QuakeCon 2021, the franchise Quake talk about her again. And this time, it is almost certain that an “unpublished” opus will appear during this event.

Last week, Bethesda Softworks accidentally referenced a "revitalized" version of Quake in its QuakeCon schedule. The latter will begin this Thursday, August 19 from 20:00 p.m. and will last for two full days. Thus, tonight, around 20:05 p.m., Quake will be honored with id Software and MachineGames studios… An announcement should even be part of the celebrations.

A remastering on all media?

The ESRB rating organization has just listed a mysterious Quake coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It remains to be seen if this is indeed the remastered version teased last week by Bethesda. What is surprising is that the game should land on all consoles despite the takeover of the publisher by Microsoft. The project therefore had to start before the acquisition.

Finally, the beta branch of the first Quake on Steam was updated recently. This detail could indicate that the 1996 game will be highlighted during the famous QuakeCon. Meanwhile, a DOOM Slayers Collection (containing DOOM, DOOM 2, DOOM 3, DOOM 64, and the 2016 reboot) has been spotted on Switch. See you tonight to get to the bottom of it!
