It is decidedly a dropper communication that accompanies the PSVR2, the next virtual reality headset from Sony. After having first revealed the controllers, the technical characteristics as well as the final design of the helmet, now according to certain rumors, the Japanese giant is about to hold an event dedicated to PSVR 2.
In 2016, with the launch of PSVR, Sony took its first steps into the magical and immersive world of VR, redistributing the cards with unbeatable value for money when it was released. Six years later, the Japanese giant is preparing to renew the VR trial on PS5 with the PSVR 2, a headset that could soon reveal all its mysteries to us.
A Showcase dedicated to PSVR 2 soon?
According to Tom Henderson, an insider of the video game sphere, Sony would have recently sent emails with the subject “Introducing PlayStation VR2”. To support his words, Greg Miller, journalist at Kinda Funny, and Jeff Grubb, also a journalist at VentureBeat, confirm that they have also heard of a presentation dedicated to PSVR 2 very soon.
A few weeks before the launch of the PS5, Sony would have done the same by sending an email to the press, again according to the words of Tom Henderson. An approach that therefore increases the likelihood that the manufacturer would be about to repeat the blow, preparing the ground for a possible event dedicated to its new virtual reality headset.
As a reminder, the PlayStation VR 2 recently benefited from a playable demonstration during the GDC and whose happy testers then greatly praised the merits. Hoping now that a potential "PSVR 2 Showcase" is a reality in order to reveal to the public the helmet, its price, its release date as well as its toy library.
