The specialist of shifters ultra-customizable game consoles for Xbox consoles finally looks at the case of the PlayStation with a range of three models.

If you like to customize your gamepad, then you've probably already come across a Scuf Gaming controller. Founded in 2011, the American company was acquired two years ago by Corsair with a single objective in mind… above all, to change nothing in its strategy of high-end products which can be modified almost anything and what !

One range, three gamepads for PlayStation

A few months ago, Scuf Gaming announced the release of the Instinct Pro, a controller that can only be found on the manufacturer's official website, because you have to adjust most of the elements BEFORE placing an order. As interesting and of quality as it is – your devotee has one himself – this controller is still and always only intended for Xbox players.

It was without counting on the latest announcement from Scuf Gaming that GameSpot relays today. Finally, the American firm has decided to look into the case of PlayStation with a range called Reflex and which has the good taste to forget no one along the way: with three models, from the Reflex to the Reflex FPS via the Reflex Pro, there is something for everyone.

More than 200 euros per controller: very high-end?

All tastes, but not all budgets since even the “first prize”, the Reflex, is 219,99 euros. For the Reflex Pro, you have to pay 239,99 euros and no less than 269,99 euros for the Reflex FPS. At this price, we can fortunately count on a lot of features. Scuf Gaming highlights in particular the presence of configurable palettes on the back of the pads.

The Reflex FPS stands out by opting for “instantaneous” triggers for more precise control over certain types of games: we would have liked Scuf to leave us the choice. The basic Reflex must ignore the grip, yet a classic, even on less expensive pads. The three controllers can, however, rely on a system of memorized profiles, interchangeable mini-sticks and a customizable removable front.

Where things are more surprising is that Scuf Gaming does not allow any customization of these three controllers, whereas on Xbox it is possible to change the color of the sticks or the rings that surround them, paddles, buttons and even to opt for a completely original facade style. The sticks can also be swapped for concave or convex models, but none of that for the moment on PlayStation.

Scuf Gaming has nevertheless indicated that if only one color (black) is available at launch, others (white, blue, gray, orange, red) should follow soon.
