Pharaoh: A New Era: the remake shows its graphic evolution against its ancestor

The output of Pharaoh: A New Era is ever closer. In the meantime, Dotemu shows in video the visual redesign of the famous city builder.

On the other hand, to see the interface or know a release date, you will still have to wait…

Handsome as a Tutankhamun

A few weeks ago, publisher Dotemu and developer Triskell Interactive announced that to refine Pharaoh: A New Era, the remake of one of the most famous city builders, the game should finally be released next year. Bad news for those most impatient to dive back into the construction of Egyptian cities, especially since the soundtrack reproduced by Louis Godart seems ready (as evidenced by the tweet below, with a few tracks to listen to).

While waiting for this famous release date, a new video of the game has just been put online. Focused on the visual aspect of the game recreated by hand and 4K compatible, this trailer allows to see a before/after of many buildings, decorations and elements of the game.

The developer promises a mix of modernity and nostalgia, while wishing to stay as close as possible to the original game, some gameplay adjustments are to be expected. Recently, a closed pre-alpha with "some of Pharaoh's biggest fans" to refine the gameplay of this remake has also taken place. It also remains to be seen how the interface will be modernized.
