Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is coming to consoles later this year

While Pathfinder first of the name had only been developed on PC, its success gave wings (as much as ideas) to the Owlcat Games studio.

Launched in September 2018 after a successful Kickstarter fundraising campaign, Pathfinder: Kingmaker has had a bit of a rocky career. First marred by a gaggle of bugs, its concept finally took off remarkably well following excellent follow-up by the young team.

First on PC… then on consoles

Same team, same method of financing, Pathfinder: Path of the Righteous will experience, we hope, a slightly less eventful exit… with experience helping. The release will take place on September 2 on PC, which remains the preferred platform for this isometric view role-playing game that takes a lot of the classics of the genre.

Surprise today however, since the developers of Owlcat Games and their partner Koch Media have just announced that in addition to this PC version, console versions are planned. The first opus was not entitled to such treatment, but it is not very serious, insofar as it is not a real sequel.

Boss of Owlcat Games, Oleg Shpilchevskiy specifies that “as video game developers, we are always happy to be able to offer our games to as many players as possible. Fans have been asking us many, many questions, and it is with pleasure that we can confirm today that Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will be available on consoles, both for download and boxed.

An output that will concern the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One before the end of the year as well as, a little later through the backward compatibility function, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Oleg Shpilchevskiy points out that this release will be partly managed by Koch Media's new Prime Matter label, which will handle the physical distribution of the game.
