Path of Exile is divided into two. On the one hand, there is its long scripted campaign, and on the other, Atlas of Worlds neighborhoods, are the endgame sprawling and non-linear.

The new expansion of the game will focus on the latter by introducing a slew of additional content for the end game.

A release date for Path of Exile: Siege of Atlas

Eight years after its launch, Path of Exile will soon welcome a new expansion dedicated to endgame. Baptized Siege of Atlas, it will notably introduce two new Horrors from which the Atlas will have to be protected, the Ardent Exarch and the Eater of Worlds. These two threats are presented as the two most powerful beings ever known to Wraeclast. They can only be fought once their subordinates, the Dark Aster and the Infinite Hunger, have been defeated. Obviously, these enemies will be difficult to slay, but the rewards will live up to expectations.

More than new objects, the extension will be accompanied by redesigned Atlas mechanics, a new passive skill tree, the Archnemesis challenge league or even supernatural modifiers to be collected on the two new Horrors. Apart from the usual buffs and nerfs, Griding Gear Games has been working on an overall rebalancing of the game by improving in particular the construction archetypes which were underperforming to raise them to the level of the more popular ones. Siege of The Atlas will be available from February 4 on PC and February 9 on consoles.
